Today is the anniversary of the passing of a legend and international icon!

It still chokes me up to this day that this world lost Mr. Steve Irwin, more affectionately known as the Crocodile Hunter. He was, hands down, the most knowledgeable herpetologist this world has ever known. Courageous, determined, fearless: That’s what Steve Irwin was.

How exciting it would have been to be able to work alongside this wonderful individual, and how much could you have learned! You never knew what he was going to do. He brought you inside of his world, into nature, and opened it up for you! There’s no way you could change the channel when you stumbled across a Croc Hunter or Croc Files show. You were awed every single time at what he was doing.I would watch reruns after reruns just to see it all over again. He was not boring, that’s for sure!

How many kids did he spark into caring about animals…not just the fluffy, big-eyed ones (those are easy to fall in love with)…but crocs, lizards, and snakes….And get a load of Bindi walking into his footsteps…How beautiful is that? Plus, she is so cute and so smart to boot!

What he did was certainly not for his benefit. He honestly and genuinely cared about the animals, and his ultimate goal was to educate through entertainment so that these animals could be preserved for future generations.To see more on this news story, go to:

Australia marks ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin’s death

This world will not forget about Mr. Steve Irwin. From my point of view, he lived a life of excellence!

He was, and is still, an inspiration and a breath of fresh air. He is sadly missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Irwin family today, and are often in my thoughts and prayers! You will see him again!
