Lifeguard Rescues Helpless Shark From Cruel Swimmers
September 6, 2007 by Kimberly
On Tuesday, a concerned lifeguard rescued a helpless 60 cm shark off the coast of Coney Island to save it from some nasty swimmers. They were reported to have circled the the shark, held it, hit it and smacked it around.
Not being able to bear this abuse, the lifeguard grabbed the defenseless shark, that was actually playing dead, and swam him further out off the shoreline away from swimmers.
This lifeguard reported that he finally wiggled free, and attempted to bite him when he released it. However, everyone was safe and sound, and the shark escaped the holds of some revoltingly ignorant people.
This is a grand climax right at the end of summer for the locals, especially since a 1.5 m thresher shark washed up on the beach Saturday, scaring hundreds out of the water.

I just cannot get over how mean and ill-willed people can be towards animals. They just don’t understand. Why didn’t they just get out of the water, if they were scared? Shame on them!

Lifeguard Rescues Helpless Shark From Cruel Swimmers…
What disgusting people to abuse a tiny, little fish like that! It’s just ignorance and nastiness…I am absolutely appalled…just get out of the water if you are scared or have a problem. That is where they live….
