Thanks for that information, Francisco!!! That would have been very helpful! One of the fish was named Kumquat - she is still alive today! :)

The new pair of fish you bought are extremely cute! I have a apricot or black and gold baby oranda goldfish named Kyo which means gold in Japanese. You could look for Japanese names because a lot of them start with the letter K.

Good luck,

Wow...I'm amazed looking at these photos...

I just happened to look at them today and realized that our goldfish, shown here on the left, didn't have a black mark on her lip when we first got her.

Today, she has a black smudge-like marking on her top lip, similar to that of her tail and other black marks on her body.

Neat!!!

Hi Andrew! Congrats on your new fish family! That's so exciting!

Thanks for your ideas for names - you are very creative! Cool stuff!

Our "girl" apricot & black oranda passed away only about 1 month after getting her. She had no visible problems and we woke up to her not with us anymore. Very sad.

However, our "boy" is actually a girl, as our calico ryukin is nudging her to lay eggs - he is definitely a boy. We have named her kumquat - like the fruit!

Drop back in and let us know how your fish are doing in your new tank, okay?

Thanks for coming by!
